These blades are mounted on the aluminium plates and fit into standard floats,they are versatile and suitable for all sort of rountine dentistry work.They are available in different lengths 50mm,56mm and 80mm.titanium nitride coated is available here.
2. Oval Equine Dental Blades With Rail
The 56mm oval blades with rail are designed to fit into all standard float handles,this blade is ideal for use on M3 as well as molar rollers,its rounded edge greatly reduce the risk of soft tissue damage.
3. Rectangular/Oval Stick on Blade
Brilliant for removing large amount of teeth and known as slim line blades due to their reduced thickness,the round edge of these blades are also very helpful to reduce the risk of soft tissue damage,they are available in 50mm,56mm and 80mm sizes.Titanium Nitride coating is availble with better wear resistance,more durable.
4.Oval Pocket blades.
These medium blades are very aggressive and can remove a large amount of tooth growth. Available in lengths of 32 and 56mm.
A horse’s tooth and root are several inches long. Each tooth continues to erupt through the gum at a rate of 3mm per year on average, with more tooth emerging in the younger horse.
Horses were originally designed to eat coarse vegetation for 18-20 hours per day. The modern horse, however, is largely fed on lush grass and soft hay and their chewing time has changed with the different diet. Another factor is horses eating with their head up, for example munching hay nets can alter tooth wear.
These changes produce extremely sharp points which can damage the soft tissues within the mouth and need to be removed by rasping.
