In September 2020, China announced to the world at the United Nations General Assembly the goals of peaking its carbon dioxide emissions by 2030 and achieving carbon neutrality by 2060.
As a local tungsten carbide manufacturing enterprise in Zhuzhou, in order to actively respond to the national carbon peak and carbon neutral decision-making deployment, and to build a green energy system as its own responsibility, our factory launched a solar photovoltaic power generation construction project in May 2022, and Officially completed and put into operation on August 1, which has played an exemplary role in realizing the goal of "harmonious coexistence between human and nature, and harmonious development between economy and nature".
The accumulative coverage area of solar photovoltaic panels laid in the factory area reaches 2,000 square meters. The completion of the distributed photovoltaic power station can achieve an installed capacity of up to 1.22MWp, an annual power generation of more than 500,000 kWh, and an average annual reduction of carbon dioxide emissions of 540 tons,saving 190 tons of standard coal.
After the photovoltaic power generation project is officially put into operation, it will provide the company with more low-carbon green energy, which is a symbolic measure for the company's green and low-carbon transformation. This strategic measure can not only reduce the cost of electricity consumption of tungsten carbide production and ease the pressure of peak electricity consumption of enterprises, but also help the development of domestic photovoltaic grid-connected power generation industry and accelerate the achievement of national energy conservation and emission reduction tasks.
