Tungsten carbide wire drawing dies are widely use in various wire industries,in order to prolong the service life of cemented carbide wire drawing die as much as possible,we need to master the correct methods in the process of application and maintenance as below.
1. To ensure the stable operation of the wire drawing equipment: each wire drawing drum and wire passing guide wheel should be smooth and flexible, and the beating tolerance should be strictly controlled. If it is found that the drum and the guide wheel have worn grooves, they should be repaired in time.
2. Good lubrication condition is an important condition to ensure the surface quality of wire rods and prolong the life of the wire drawing dies. Regularly check the lubrication indicators to remove copper powder and impurities in the lubricating oil so that they do not pollute the equipment holes. lubrication system need be cleaned commonly,If the lubrication fails, it must be replaced in time.
3. Reasonable mold matching is the key factor to ensure the surface quality of the wire rod, control the size accurately and consistently, reduce the wear of the wire drawing drum, and reduce the operating load of the equipment. For the sliding wire drawing machine, it is the first step to match the mold to be familiar with the mechanical elongation of the equipment and to choose the sliding coefficient reasonably.
4. According to the material of the drawn wire and the area reduction rate of each wire drawing is also closely related to the compression angle of the corresponding mold, the compression angle should be adjusted appropriately according to the area reduction rate.
Effective maintenance and repair of cemented carbide wire drawing dies is crucial to reducing costs. Due to the vibration of the wire rod, some slight annular wear occurs in the area that first contacts the wire rod in the compression zone of the wire drawing die, and then continues to expand until the sizing area, resulting in a serious decline in the surface quality of the wire rod and an increase in the size of the wire rod. Not only that, severe wear will cause transverse cracks or longitudinal cracks in the mold, causing the mold to be scrapped prematurely.
